#17960-Mission PlannerPossess current expertise to conduct command-level planning for OPLANs, CONPLANs, and supporting CONPLANs from mission analysis through Commander, USSTRATCOM approval. Lead planning teams consisting of USSTRATCOM Headquarters, its components, and other combatant commands to develop plans within the framework of JOPES and APEX processes. Collaborate with other combatant command’s planners in order to produce plans that support their GEF assigned missions. Requires expertise of deliberate planning as described in JOPES and APEX, as well as a thorough knowledge of national guidance including, but not limited to, UCP, JSCP, GEF, and JP 5-0. Some travel may be required to attend planning conferences and plan socializing with other combatant commands.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent formal military training and related experience. Expertise in JOPES and APEX.

Requires TS/SCI security clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS:
- Completion of Phase II training.
- Combatant command level planning experience
- Excellent communications (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
- Expertise with USSTRATCOM, its mission areas, and its relationships with other component commands, defense agencies, and interagency organizations
